We built Zerply to help VFX artists with the frustrating parts of their professional lives so that they can get back to doing what they love. Today, we’re introducing a brand new tool to make showcasing your work easier: the Zerply media player. The media player allows you to add notes to a video you’ve uploaded to your profile. This means that you can now upload your showreel and add written commentary to specific shots, thus eliminating the need for a separate reel breakdown.
It’s simple to use. Just upload a video to your Zerply profile via a Vimeo or YouTube integration and use the “Add Cue Point” button to the right to add your description of a shot, timed to a chosen point in your reel.
Especially when showing off your chops to recruiters, it’s important to curate how a viewer experiences your work. With the media player, you’re free to integrate your own description into your reel to highlight the hard work and talent that went into each shot.
